When she got to the pregnant part, I though she was going to say that her roommate gave birth and threw the baby away. I was worried for a sec.

Landlord: Hello 911? There's a girl who's trying to throw food in the dumpster.

Operator: Two squad cars are en route.

Landlord: Hurry!

Sara - this person was writing the way people speak - a technique often employed in narrative - and I have often said and heard people say '...,no?' to make a statement into a question. Presumably the author of the story has, too. Stories can use the kind of grammar and wording that you wouldn't use in a report or academic paper or something more formal than a post on this site. It might be incorrect but if you haven't ever read a book or short story or poem that breaks grammatical "rules" for the sake of overall effect, then you need to read more.

Also, even if you DO speak Spanish as your first language and don't speak English very well, it is totally incorrect to make a statement into a question by adding 'no' onto the end. If you're going to be a grammar fascist please make the effort to write comments properly yourself!

As for the OP: a broken foot and a one night stand pregnancy is, in my view at least, something to get a bit (more) chemically imbalanced over. When people get depressed they can start neglecting cleanliness and personal hygiene. Sounds like your flatmate needed some compassion, although maybe rawr is right and there's a lot missing from this story.

This is the worst written post I've read on here. Unless you speak Spanish as a first language and don't know English very well, it is totally incorrect to end a question with the word "no" in English.

I think the Landlord she was talking about was for another property she was trying to dump the trash on.

"There was a dumpster near where we went to toss it in."

That doesn't mean it was on the property where she was renting.

I don't understand why you couldn't dump the trash. That's dumb.

I think your landlord was a douche for not letting you throw trash away AND calling the cops on her. While you could have just come back later, I actually don't see the big deal in her fighting with the landlord since the landlord was being such an asshole.

And are you actually COMPLAINING about her feeling uncomfortable for having a broken foot? I had something similar happen to me and yeah, I was sighing and limping all over the place, because it hurt a lot and it was really hard for me to walk.

And you know, maybe she kept food in her room because she didn't want you to take it? I'm not saying you were, but lots of times people do that because they're worried their roommates are going to eat their food. The toilet paper is kind of weird, but I can kind of understand it if she had a habit of keeping things she bought in her room. What's yours is yours and what's mine is mine kind of thing.

Oh, and complaining about TV dinners? Come on. Now you're just looking for things to bitch about.
