I agree with GarterSnake here. It sounds like the rare hygiene problem, as opposed to a no-hygiene problem. Why didn't they try to discuss together a better place to keep the vacuum? did they not have closet space? And I'd put the vacuum in her room before the freaking bathtub! I hope it ended up in the hallway permanently, just because this story annoys me that much.

Though, I'll admit, it is the little things that people let drive them crazy ... I've heard stories of people who throw punches over time left on a microwave. That's as aggressive-aggressive as you can get. LOL

It seems fairly obvious from the story that the hall was the least convenient place for the item while more convenient places for it were available (the other rooms the OP constantly moved it to). Why roomy never got the hint, but preferred a dangerous hazard, is odd indeed.

Not sure which is worse - leaving stuff out or passive-aggressive (turning into aggressive aggressive) behavior over a VACUUM!!!

At least she vacuumed. I can see it being annoying to always find the vacuum sitting in the hall, but living with a roommate means dealing with another person's irritating habits, and on the Official Irritating Roommate Habits Scale, leaving a vacuum cleaner out isn't that big a deal. How long would it take for you to move it yourself? Five, ten seconds? Putting it behind the shower curtain again when it made her cry and panic the first time was pretty immature.

So, when did you discuss this safety hazard with her prior to leaving the thing in her shower? While I find that quite humorous, your "point" fell on deaf ears if you hadn't already discussed the issue with her.
