I am the person who submitted this and to answer your question Zomboid – there probably was but like a fool I choose to ignore it.

I had been with my boyfriend for 2 years and had known MVWR since High School. Being naive and blind i choose to ignore any signs there were and put my head in the sand – trust me I have beaten myself up many times for being so stupid.

@ MMMichelle: just because the bitch was pregnant didn’t mean the OP couldn’t have given her a good ol fashioned slap in the face. The ex-boyfriend on the other hand could have gotten a well justified kick in the groin. Then again like Betty said, if he cheated on you, chances are good he’ll cheat on her too.

I thought this was shaping up to be another average klepto roommate and then the delivery of the twist at the end just slapped me in the face (which, I agree, is what you should have done to her — I’m pretty non-violent, but I think even I would have slapped her).

I’m left with so many questions, the time frame confuses me:

How long were you living with her until the point you were summarily evicted? I get the impression it wasn’t too long after the 2-week mark.

At the point you were evicted, how long had she been schtupping the boyfriend? Must have been more than 2-4 weeks, if she was pregnant… aware of her pregnancy… and planning for the nursery.

If I’m correct in assuming that you were evicted within only a few weeks of moving in, then it’s safe to assume that she & your boyfriend started BEFORE you moved in with her.

That being the case, why the hell would she invite you to move in, if she was already involved with your boyfriend?

Or, do I have your elapsed time of residence all mixed up?

You are right – i lived in the house for 1 month 1 week before i was evicted. Therefore yes they were sleeping together when she asked me to move out of my parents to live with her – this being because she and her partner had moved in together after 3 months of knowing each other and 2 months in had split up.

She only moved me in so she had a mug to share the rent with.

As to the practicality of such an arrangement– I can’t decide if it would have made it easier, or more difficult, for the two to carry on.

You should pursue legal remedies for this — it’s REALLY illegal to throw a tenant (or a roommate) out and change the locks. Sue the b****.
