Doesn't matter if it's in a college dorm or a house/apartment. Especially when stuff starts to smell and insects move in. As for the not talking to you thing, it could have been worse. Some of the other posts on this site have the slob blaming the clean one for being the slob (or whatever negative trait is being displayed by the VWR). Hopefully once you moved out you didn't have an ant problem anymore. To this day I cannot understand how people can stand to live like that.
